Plaque near site of former Southern Pacific roundhouse located about 1 mile west of the depot. It was demolished in 1982 and a swank hotel that built on the site in 1986 designed its restaurant in the shape of a roundhouse.

Immediately north of the parking area along Montecito St., is Santa Barbara's Moreton Bay Fig Tree - the largest Ficus macrophylla in the entire U.S. This tree was planted in 1958, replacing an earlier tree that had died.
