Several display cases in the men's waiting room including a second small model railroad layout. The door leads to the former freight area, which houses the GOSOME model upstairs. Note traffic control board at left.

The Women's waiting room lasted until 1927 (note benches) when the Milwaukee shared space. Men were considered too vulgar. The door at left connects to the men's waiting room located near the middle of the building.

The Trans.RR eastern terminus was established by Executive Order in Council Bluffs. The UP bridge in 1872 made it reality and the courts forced UP to establish a depot in C.B.

The Rock Island shared depot space with the Burlington. Interestingly, RI's depot is oriented North-South, while the Transcontinental lines are a short distance to the south (for example near the Golden Spike Monument).
