Comments/Directions:
Short trip on east track any Saturday; Tuesday through Friday call ahead. Ten PCC cars, one of which is operating, with a 1901 Laclede and 1919 Birney in the restoration shop. Two Denver Tramway cars and a 1901 Brill Convertible awaiting restoration. Main building is 1888 Rock Island roundhouse and houses trolley museum and office. SP baggage car houses Rock Island Roswell Museum. Guided tours. There are several model railroads and trolleys and many artifacts on display in the two museum areas. Viewing platform attached to SP baggage car for UP/BNSF main line train spotting.
