Comments/Directions: : Display includes PRR #35, a 0-10-0 and a JM&I caboose. This engine is best known as the RUBEN WELLS. It predates the Pennsy acquisition of the old Madison, Indianapolis, and Jeffersonville Railroad. It did also serve under the PRR. It was the first engine able to take freight up the 6% grade at Madison. This was the steepest grade on a class 1 railroad in the United States
