My Old Kentucky Dinner Train offers lunch and dinner excursions year round. Lunch is a 2 hour excursion with a three course meal and dinner is a 2 1/2 hour excursion with a four course meal. We also offer Murder Mystery excursions, Bourbon tastings, North Pole Express, and many one-time special events such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and New Year's Eve excursions. Train is operated by the Kentucky Rail Task Force under charter by the Kentucky Railway Museum using special consist which includes a full dining car, sleeper, lounge and business car. These trips are promoted by the Kentucky Rail Task Force in the interest of attracting passengers to the experience of rail travel. Trains operate between Boston, New Haven, Gethsemane and New Hope, KY on the former Lebanon branch of the Louisville and Nashville railroad. All food is prepared from authentic recipes from Louisville and Nashville railroad dining car department manuals and the L and N theme is prevalent. All cars offer air conditioning and attendant service. Operates the third Saturday of the month, starting in March.
